Samsung Galaxy A42 5G: US customers are now able to update to Android 12-based One UI 4.0 on the Samsung Galaxy A42 5G. Samsung’s Galaxy A42 5G, a mid-range smartphone based on Android 12, will be receiving the major One UI 4.0 update from Verizon in the US. The security patch of December 2021 is included in version A426USQU3BUL8 of the software.
A mid-range 5G smartphone was launched last year by Samsung in select European markets. The One UI 2.5 software system sits atop Google’s Android 10 platform on this device. The company has recently released the major Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update, which adds numerous modern features.
A new software update bringing the May 2021 security patch has been rolled out by the South Korean tech giant to the Galaxy A42 5G smartphone. There is now an update available in Germany that has the build version: A426BXXU2BUE1.
Aside from the security improvements, this update does not add new features or make major improvements to the system. Nevertheless, this is an initial rollout, and the company will expand its availability to other regions in the coming days and weeks.
Galaxy M42 5G was launched in India as a rebadged version of the Galaxy A42 5G. The latter is already receiving the May patch, but the former will also get it soon.
