The newest meta in Elden Ring uses the Flames of the Redmane Ash of War to stagger enemies quickly and leave them open for a riposte attack.
It’s no secret that after the March 1.03 Elden Ring update, players lost a few overpowered abilities. And although they are still viable, they don’t quite hold up as well as before.
Thankfully, new abilities have been found, and players quickly make use of them.
We recently saw the Carian Retaliation Ash of War, which does incredible amounts of damage to bosses in the later stages of the game.
Now, players have found that the Flames of the Redmane Ash of War is in a class of its own.

Where to Find Flames of the Redmane Ash of War in Elden Ring + Map
Players will be able to find Flames of the Redmane Ash of War just north of Fort Gael in Caelid.
Make your way to the Fort Gael North Site of Grace. Head slightly east, and you should see some silver prints quickly moving around the area.
Take a moment to learn its path and then wait for it. You’ll want to attack as the prints get near you. If you do this, you will reveal an invisible scarab.
It’ll drop the Flames of the Redmane Ash of War as soon as you reveal it.

How to Use Flames of the Redmane Ash of War in Elden Ring
Players will want to use the Flames of the Redmane Ash of War to stagger bosses and some of the larger enemies they find.
The Flames of the Redmane Ash of War deals an immense amount of stagger to enemies. This allows you to stagger some of the most challenging bosses in the game in just a few hits.
If you’re thinking about using it on Radagon of the Golden Order, it took about four hits of the Flames of Redmane Ash of War to fully stagger them.
This means that if you were to enter with a friend who was also using this ash of war, Radagon would probably spend most of the fight on the ground getting ribosted.
It’s advantageous, but it does require you to be pretty close to the enemies, so tread with care.
Pairing this with the Black Flame Mage build allows you to stagger an enemy even more quickly due to the build’s buffs.
And if you’re looking for a weapon to pair it up with, you might want to pick one of the best Strength and Dexterity weapons in Elden Ring.
