There are many choices when it comes to hurting your enemies in the Elden Ring, where you could use swords, hammers, sorcery, or even a bow to deal damage. The Rivers of Blood katana is not available early in the game, and will require some progress towards the endgame before you can get your arsenal. Just make sure you haven’t yet defeated the Fire Giant.
- Head to the Giant region of the Mountaintops.
- Look for the Church of Repose.
This is the region of the far south.
- Defeat the invader, Bloody Finger Okina.
Be sure to watch out for bleed damage, so keeping your distance might be the best option.
- Claim your rewards.
Defeating the invader will yield the Rivers of Blood Katana along with the Okina Mask.
Blood Katana of Rivers
The Rivers of Blood Katana does have some stat requirements for effective use. You’ll need 12 Strength, 19 Dexterity, and 20 Arcane to use it. It comes with a bleeding passive, and its skill, Corpse Piler, can be a devastating move if you can chain damage for more damage. This katana requires upgrade to Somber Smithing Stones.
