With the release of Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, there are a number of new mechanics in the game, as well as a brief disabling build. To help make combat a little more intense – and help you escape the ever-encroaching storm – players have new options Fortnite in tactical sprintand in this guide, we’ll explain what it is and how to do it on PS4, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch and PC, so you’re all set on a platform playing on.
What Is Tactical Sprint?
Tactical Sprint is exactly what it sounds like. It’s a short period of time for you to sprint, and you get the cover ground faster.
You are on your way to closing the storm circle. With the removal of a building mechanic, it’s also one of the best ways of avoiding incoming enemy fire, as a fast-moving target is more difficult than hitting a slower one!
Tactical Sprinting in Fortnite
To the tactical sprint, you’ll need to press the left analog stick on the PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch consoles.
It’s also known as the LS on Xbox, or the L3 on PlayStation consoles. For PC players using a mouse and keyboard, press the left shift key on your keyboard.
Keep in mind that the Tactical Sprint has a small ‘stamina bar’ of sorts that you can use when you deplete it, just above your health and shield bars. You can use it again before you recharge.
Why Is Tactical Sprint Not Working (Unbound)?
If you’ve changed your keybinds and controller inputs, you might have assigned something else to the left shift or left analog stick. When this is the case, the game will be able to assign the ‘Sprint’ option to the default.
To resolve this, go to Settings on Fortnite and then go to either the Keybinds or Controller Configurations options.
If you’re changing your mouse and keyboard keybinds, select the ‘Sprint’ option and then press the key you’d like to assign to it.
To change your Controller Configuration options, select the Left Analog Stick option, and then press A / X to bring up the various actions you can assign to it. If you’d rather not assign it to the left analog stick, you can select another button on your controller and assign it.
Keep in mind that when it comes to changing controller configurations, you’ll need to change it up to see how many different ‘control’ schemes, so combative and capable.
