With our hero Akito fused with the ghost hunter KK, you are not as defenseless against the monsters known as the Visitors. In combat, anytime you want to block, simply press L1 / Left Bumper to bring up a spirit shield. This will block the brunt of the attack, but you will still lose some health.
In order to prevent that, you will need a perfect block for your time. Similar to many other games, this requires you to trigger the block just like an attack connector, resulting in slow-mo and visual effects with a perfect block. This will prevent any damage, and if you learn the right skills, it may even generate the Ether for you to replenish your SP for offensive moves.
