Ghostwire Tokyo has just been released, a spooky, spiritual trip around the capital of Japan. Developed by Tango Gameworks and published by Bethesda Softworks, many people are wondering if it’s possible Ghostwire Tokyo is the upcoming Xbox Game PassFollowing the announcement last year that Bethesda’s parent company, Zenimax Studios, had been acquired by Microsoft.
Is Xbox Game Pass on Ghostwire Tokyo?
At the time of writing, no, Ghostwire Tokyo is not an Xbox Game Pass, or Game Pass for PC.
This is the result of a timed-exclusivity deal with the Tango Gameworks and Bethesda had in place with Sony’s PlayStation prior to Microsoft’s acquisition of Zenimax Studios last year.
Of course, when Ghostwire Tokyo’s timed-exclusivity period is up, it’s a pretty safe bet that the Xbox consoles will be released soon, and they’ll be added to the Game Pass subscription service’s library of titles on both Xbox and PC platforms.
Ghostwire Tokyo Game Pass Release Date
Ghostwire Tokyo on PlayStation and PC platforms will run for a long timed-exclusivity period.
Based on previous, similar timed-exclusivity deals, however, it’s likely that we’ll be waiting around a year for the game’s release date to arrive on Xbox platforms, and Game Pass as a part of that.
Once we know for sure, we’ll update this post and let you know.
