It’s a pretty exciting day for Overwatch fans, as Blizzard has just released a new developer update announcing some changes to the game’s structure, as well as a PvP beta that’s coming sometime in April. The beta itself will give players a chance to check out the new Push Mode, and here’s everything you need to know Game modes that will be in Overwatch 2.
Overwatch 2 in All Game Modes
As mentioned above, Overwatch 2 is a new game mode called Introducing Push, where teams must try and escort a robot over the other while holding the finish line. It sounds similar to the Escort mode where a team escorts a payload to the finish line, with the big difference being that Push requires both teams to fight over the same objective at the same time.
Overwatch 2 will also bring back all of the existing game modes from the original game, and we’ve listed them below:
- Push
- Story Experience
- Hero Missions
- Assault
- Control
- Escort
- Hybrid
Push, Story Experience, and Hero Missions are new to Overwatch 2, with the latter two being PvE-focused modes that have players fighting each other against AI and NPCs. The game will also come with the Arcade and Custom modes that we already have in Overwatch, so players can expect to see the return of other modes like Team Deathmatch and Capture the Flag.
One thing to note is that the next Overwatch 2 beta will be PvP-focused, which means we won’t get a chance to check out any new PvE content just yet.
That’s all you need to know about Overwatch 2 in all the game modes. Be sure to search Twinfinite for more news and information on the game, and feel free to check out our review of the original game as well.
