PS5 Screenshot and Video Captures Coming to the App in the Americas

More people will be able to see screenshots and videos captured from their PS5 on their mobile devices. Sony announced that the Americas will soon get a PlayStation App update that makes these items accessible. They’ll show up in a gallery in-app, provided certain conditions are met.

There are two types of media from a PS5 that will show up in the PlayStation App. If anyone has linked their console and application and the system is in rest mode while connected to the internet, the item will be uploaded. They will then be able to capture the app under Library and Captures and on the System under the Captures and Broadcasts section in Settings. PS5 screenshots and videos that are not in 4K or over three minutes will show up in the app. They will be available to view there for 14 days. After that point, they will be removed from the app’s gallery.

Here’s a video showing off the process.

This marks more major regions for the PlayStation App PS5 screenshot and video capture feature. Originally, only people in Canada and Japan could use it.
