Elden Ring is a brand new open-world action RPG from FromSoftware and Bandai Namco, and features a rich world with a rich history written by George RR Martin. There are quite a few key locations to hit up this game, though some of them will have a key item or two until they are off the block. Here’s Where to get the Academy Glintstone Key in Elden Ring.
When you get to the Lake of Liurnia, which is the second major region in the Lands Between, you’ll be tasked with heading to the Academy of Raya Lucaria to get your next Great Rune. However, you’ll need a Glintstone Key.
Elden Ring in Getting the Academy Glintstone Key
- First off, you can access the Academy of Raya Lucaria via a portal at the Center’s Laskyar Ruins.
Head to the Gazebo at the Center of the Ruins, and interact with the Portal quickly.
- After arriving there, make your way to the Academy Gate Town Site of Grace.
- From here, head north all the way to the Temple Square, and you’ll find a giant black dragon sleeping beneath a giant rock.
This will trigger an optional boss fight with the Glintstone Dragon Smarag, but you don’t want to fight it. Check out the screenshot below for the dragon’s location, where our cursor and beacon marker is.
- Get on the torrent and ride to the spot just to find the dragon behind the Glintstone Academy Key.
Once you’ve looted it, you can either escape the area and head back to the Academy to break the seal, or fight the dragon.
The Academy of Raya Lucaria is giving you a whole new location to explore and fight a couple of story bosses. There are also quite a few Sorcery spells to pick up here, along with some gear pieces that you can find on the farm from enemies.
