General Manager John Hight said today that the World of Warcraft will be out on April 19, 2022. This news comes with an announcement that Hearthstone will have a large expansion on March 15, and a new mobile warcraft game is set to be announced in May.
It’s no secret that the World of Warcraft and Activision Blizzard have been left to suffer in the wake of work allegations, improper management, and negative press that never seem to end. Shadowlands expanded into other players, including Final Fantasy XIV. There’s also a lot of players that haven’t seen the long enough to go with Azeroth as part of their games.
World of Warcraft recently released its newest content update, Eternitys End, which had much to prove to win back-to-back player trust. The developers seem to be listening to their base now, however, as the test cycle of the pains has been addressed before the release, resulting in a mostly favorable yet still flawed reception.
With the recent announcement of the new Horde and Alliance cross-faction play, the future of Azeroth may be far different from what has been seen. The Shadowlands of the story is basically the end of death. Most players would agree that they should return several cosmic battles after a more grounded narrative.
