The first thing to note is that with Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands on the way, there will never be a point in the fight bosses more than once. That’s exactly the case for Parasite.

The Parasite is the first fight as part of the Walk the Stalk side quest found in Tangledrift. There is a very convenient fast travel point labeled What’s Left of the Driftwood set up outside the Parasite’s boss area to farm the boss. Thoughts, there are far easier ways to farm bosses in the game.

Parasite Phase 1

Tiny Tina Wonderlands Parasite Phase 1

Parasite will be above ground and will have a blue shield bar that you need to wear down. Make sure you have a decent shock weapon for this part, as well as a shield of quick work. If you’re a class with companions, they’ll be able to help you with the mushroom monsters spawned by Parasite, but if you’re alone it’s easy to be swarmed. Crowd control spells or a splash damage Torgue will get good use here.

Parasite Phase 2

Parasite will drop to the ground and run around, now sporting a normal red health bar. Fire damage is the key here. The previous phase being spawned from the same mushrooms with Along, now skeleton archers will join the fight. Focus on picking up the skeletons off first, Parasite doesn’t move fast enough to be a concern but getting a peppered from the skeleton’s arrows will add up.

Parasite Phase 3

Parasite’s mushroom head is now a creepily human-like skull underneath. During this phase you’ll be bombarded with melee skeletons. With Parasite’s new bones health bar, he is now more susceptible to frost damage, and so are the skeletons being spawned. The best thing about this phase for all of you Spore Wardens is the use of the Blizzard action skill that is perfect for keeping the skeletons off while you do a good chunk of damage.

Once this final bar is gone, Parasite will be vanquished and you will get your loot fountain.
