Genvid Entertainment and Skybound Entertainment announce The Walking Dead: The Last Mile, a new interactive spectator game coming to Facebook. The studios will develop the game.
The game is to begin in the summer of 2022, and will be used by the same technology that Genvid used to create Rival Peak, an interactive game where Facebook gaming can influence the outcome of spectators. Rival Peak made an easy hit and Genvid followed it and Pac-Man posted on Facebook Gaming.
The new title is going to be an exclusive on Facebook Gaming and Facebook Watch. It will be a hugely interactive live event with fans participating in the game and part interactive TV show.
The New York Company Genvid will be joining the world of The Walking Dead universe in a new way that will unfolds the story of the players and protagonists together, from 1 to 10 minutes, from 1 day, from 1 to 2 hours, from 1 o’clock and from 6 o’clock a week.
We hope this new MILE Experience will happen in The Walking Dead universe, where fans play the game, and impact the world and its community as a community, said Robert Kirkman, chairman of Skybound Entertainment and creator of The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead: The Last Mile will follow as the story unfolds to make the story live, breathe, make The Walking Dead, and work together. We were delighted with our partners Genvid and Facebook to realize this pioneering vision.
Pipeworks, a leading simulation developer with co-authored, is looking forward to revealing more.
Last summer Genvid raised $ 113 million to fuel massive interactive live events like Project Raven. The Rival Peak opened in the spring when we saw a ride on the Rival Peak, a Facebook show where spectators were able to find out how many AI characters competed in the Survivor style show. Rival Peak surpassed more than 100 million minutes in its first season of 12 weeks.
The show has got 200 million engagements across 13 simultaneous 24-hour, seven-day-a-week livestreams and a weekly wrap-up show hosted by actor Will Wheaton. Rival Peak was an interactive experience that was part of a game and partially a reality television show.
