What Is Fortnite Parkour? Tactical Sprint, Climbing (Mantling) & Shoulder Bash Explained

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 has its building mechanic temporarily disabling by Epic’s ever-popular Battle Royale game of well and truly shaken. To help remedy this, there are new movement mechanics and abilities available to help players get around the world that little bit easier. These help players jump higher and further, and how you trigger the Shoulder Bash, as detailed below.

Mantle / Climbing

Arguably the most important element of Fortnite Parkour mechanics is the ability for players to now reach the mantle and climb up the ledges.

By running and jumping at a ledge, your character will automatically grab and climb, making it really easy to traverse and jump from rooftop to rooftop.

Shoulder Bash

The Shoulder Bash is the ultimate piece of Fortnite Parkour puzzle, with players sprinting or sliding through the doors to charge.

All you need is a door into the tactical sprint, and your character will automatically shoulder it all the way through. It’s definitely a lot quicker than the X / Square / E / Y with the door to interact with.
